Short Construction Projects

Each construction project tells a unique story of innovation, quality, and dedication. Our completed projects showcase our commitment to excellence and our ability to bring architectural visions to life. Explore our diverse range of projects, each meticulously planned and executed to meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and sustainability.

Roseville

Heritage Extension

This project aimed to extend a 1920s Federation Bungalow while preserving its Californian heritage. Collaborating with clients who were passionate about maintaining the home’s original beauty and integrity made it a pleasure to bring this dream to life.

Although the extension wasn’t large, it completely transformed the home’s layout. The kitchen became the central hub, and the back family area was enlarged. We also added an internal laundry, an extra bedroom, built-in wardrobes, and an ensuite for the main bedroom, bringing the home into the 21st century.

The freestanding carport and extension to the existing roofline maintained the character of the house. By recycling bricks from the original garage and demolition works, it is nearly impossible to distinguish where the old ends and the new begins.

Wamberal

New Build

Building this new home was a delightful experience, with ample space around the house providing a balanced feel to its large footprint and minimalist design. From the outset, attention to detail was crucial as the client desired simple, clean lines that would enhance the home without detracting from its natural surroundings.

We utilized the structure to create standout features, such as the vaulted ceilings in the lounge room and a volcanic rock dividing wall between the study and lounge, making the home both impressive in scale and seamlessly integrated into its environment. The contrast between the natural stone flooring and feature wall, and the recycled hardwood posts supporting the steel beams and roof, resulted in a warm, inviting home that harmonizes with its surroundings while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic.

Ettalong Beach

Extension

This compliance and development project in Ettalong Beach on the Central Coast started with a 1950s beach shack. Stripped back to its bare bones, the back half of the house was completely removed to make way for a new extension that includes a master bedroom, ensuite, walk-in robe, and bathroom.

The roofs of the lounge room, dining, and family areas were re-pitched with raked ceilings, creating an open and light-filled space. Combined with a large entertaining deck and cascading stairs, this house was transformed into a modern family home while preserving its beach house heritage.

Double Garage Challenge

Building a double garage on a sloping and challenging site was no small feat. The project involved a semi-continuous pile retaining wall and primarily concrete construction, making it quite different from a standard garage.

From the outset, we encountered several design issues. However, by identifying these faults early on, we were able to manage the process effectively, from redesign to completion. Collaborating closely with our designer and consultants, we secured the necessary council approvals despite the significant height changes and additional retaining work required to make the driveway accessible.

We are extremely pleased with the final outcome, transforming a difficult project into something that looks intentional and well-planned.
