This new home was a pleasure to build with loads of space around the house giving balance to a large footprint and minimalistic styling.

The detailing was very important right from the start as the client wanted simple clean lines to enhance the home but not to distract from its natural surrounds.

We used the structure to create features, with crofted ceilings in the lounge room and a dividing wall of volcanic rock between the study and lounge, really making this home breathtaking in its scope and weightless in its environment.

The contrast of natural stone on the floor and feature wall, to the recycled hardwood posts effortlessly holding the steel beams and roof in place, created a warm home that bonds with the surrounds while having a clean modern home feel.
